"Simulacra" album cover art nearly done

29.11.2011

Quazarre regarding the artwork for the "Simulacra" album:

"Hey devils! Just to let you know we're nearly done with the new album's cover art. I'm really excited we've finally managed to find an appropriate vision of the album's lyrical concept and just can't wait to see its final version. Simulacra is full of symbolic thoughts and ideas that may easily be taken on from a hell of a different perspectives, leaving room for your own interpretation... Enough to say, Xaay has perfectly understood our concept, therefore it all goes pretty smoothly. I believe we'll soon be able to give you something that's pretty unique on all possible levels."

The "Simulacra" album, feat. guest appearance of Orion (BEHEMOTH, VESANIA), Flumen (ASGAARD), Lestath (METransmissionAL), Roman Bereznicki (LECTER) and Jacek Grecki (LOST SOUL) with an artwork being created by Xaay (NILE, KAMELOT, VADER, BEHEMOTH) is scheduled to be released in Poland on the first months of 2012 via Icaros Records. It has still not been confirmed which label's going to release it worldwide.

Stay tuned \m/

"Simulacra" artwork being done by Xaay (Nile, Kamelot, Behemoth)

17.11.2011

There's been a little setback on the graphics front due to unforeseen circumstances. We can now confirm the "Simulacra" album cover art and its layout are currently being done by Michal "Xaay" Loranc, known from his works for Nile, Behemoth, Kamelot, Decapitated, Vader and Necrophagist among others.

New artwork is gonna surprise all listeners who are familiar with the band. We are preparing a cover which has completely different vibe than the former ones. You can expect an eclectic form and a high contrasts, more common to the other music genres - comments Xaay. Just as the band's new photo session taken by Kamil Kumpin, the "Simulacra" artwork is set to be an alternative to the most of black/death metal productions around.

We're really excited to work on that with an artist of such class. I know it's been ages since we started the whole "Simulacra" journey, yet believe me, putting so much into it so far, had only made us sure we've got to do absolutely everything, so the final result could be truly outstanding - adds Devilish Impressions mainman, Quazarre.

The "Simulacra" album, feat. guest appearance of Orion (BEHEMOTH, VESANIA), Flumen (ASGAARD), Lestath (METransmissionAL), Roman Bereznicki (LECTER) and Jacek Grecki (LOST SOUL) is scheduled to be released in Poland on the first months of 2012 via Icaros Records. It has still not been confirmed which label's going to release it worldwide.

Orion (BEHEMOTH, VESANIA) & Jacek Grecki (LOST SOUL) among the special guests on the "Simulacra" album

02.11.2011

Yeap, that's right, folks! While Jacek has done an amazing lead on "Vi Veri Vniversum Vivus Vici", Orion took over parts of Mephistophilis on "Prince of The East", entirely based on "The Tragical History of Dr Faustus - 1604" by Christopher Marlowe - comments the band's mainman, Quazarre. Since "Prince of The East" cannot be considered a regular track, it will most likely land on the special, extended version of the album.

Other guests that appear on the album are: Flumen (ASGAARD) and Lestath (METransmissionAL) - both responsible for all orchestrations, samples and additional effects. Roman Bereznicki (LECTER) is the last one who left his mark on the album by adding some bass guitar on one of the tracks as well as parts of acoustic guitar on two others.

Just to remind you, the "Simulacra" album, recorded, mixed and mastered at different places in 2010/2011 (Strobo Studio, Studio X and Hertz Studio) is scheduled to be released in Poland on the first months of 2012 via Icaros Records. Since the band's still working on the new album's covert art / graphics it has still not been confirmed which label's going to release it worldwide.

Devilish Impressions on the "Simulacra" photo shoot

25.08.2011

Devilish Impressions is back from the photo shoot for the "Simulacra" album. The session took place in Gdynia with Kamil Kumpin behind the camera. As informed earlier, he's also the one who's gonna do artworks and graphics for the new opus.

"I must admit this was undoubtedly the best one we've had in the entire band's career and its final effect just simply surpassed our expectations towards it. We wanted to present ourselves slightly different than most of the black/death metal bands do these days. Don't actually know whether you're gonna like it or not but we just didn't want to duplicate ideas that have already been done. I can only say you’ll be fucking surprised when you finally get to see it. On behalf of the band I would also love to send massive thanks to Kamil, Ewa, Magda, Marta and Tomek who worked their asses off in helping us out to run it smoothly" - comments Quazarre.

Currently, works are in progress on the upcoming album's graphics, layout and design. Check back soon to see the "behind the Simulacra photo session" pics. The band is also planning to publish yet another part of Simulacra Studio Diary. Keep your eyes wide open!

Details on the "SIMULACRA" album photo shoot!!!

08.08.2011

In two days time the band will be heading up to Gdansk (Poland) for the "Simulacra" album photo shoot. Pictures are to be taken by Kamil Kumpin. He's also the one the band has chosen to work with on the new album's front cover and all the graphics.

Over the last few weeks we've been planning themes that will most likely land on the upcoming album's cover art so we've also got a certain idea on how the session is suppose to look like. New outfits, new ideas, new energy - I believe all these factors will make the session pretty unique and as intriguing as the "Simulacra" music is - comments Quazarre.

The "Simulacra" album will be out in Poland late Autumn this year on Icaros Records. So far it has not been decided who's going to release the album abroad.

NEW ALBUM'S TITLE REVEALED

08.05.2011

"Simulacra" has been chosen for a title of Devilish Impressions' latest opus.

The recording process of "Simulacra" started in July last year, when the band entered Strobo Studio in order to lay down all guitars' tracks. Once done with that, drums had been recorded at Hertz Studio, synthesizers at home studios of Lestath (ex-Sammath Naur) and Flumen (Asgaard), and vocals at Studio X later on. The material eventually got back to Wieslawscy Brothers at Hertz Studio who took over guitars' re-amping, as well as the whole album's mixing and mastering.

"We've really worked our asses off just to make sure everything sounds the way we wanted. Since we'd tried to be as much precise as possible, it obviously took ages to have it done yet I believe it's been worth waiting. The new opus may easily be called a quintessence of what's best in all we'd done so far. It's still extreme in parts, yet at the same time never had our songs been so epic and majestic, nor they had this kind of groove and feeling... "Simulacra" is definitely the one we'd call the band's opus magnum!" - comments Devilish Impressions' mainman, Quazarre.

Third part of the "Studio Diary" video report is in the making and will be posted online along with the promotional track from the "Simulacra" album very soon!

BREAKING THE SILENCE!

17.02.2011

Sorry for not being able to keep you successively posted. We are not gonna bother you with details on what caused such long delay. Enough to say that Fabian Filiks won’t be taking care of the band’s pages anymore.

„This doesn’t mean we won’t be working together on other projects or maybe even partly on this one in the future. He simply can not fully commit himself to the band’s work these days. I’m really glad though, we’ve had an opportunity to work with such talented artist and – on the other hand – with someone of this kind of personality over the last 6 years. We’ve always had this fantastic way of understanding each other, and I’m sure there still is a lot to be done together:-) All of us in Devilish Impressions would like to send massive thanks to him for all the time and passion he had contributed into the band’s life and its success. Hope the future keeps all the best for you, my friend!!!”- comments Devilish Impressions’ mainman, Quazarre.

Just to remind you, Fabian Filiks (under many nicknames and by Via-Nocturna and Studio XIII) was not only responsible for Devilish Impressions’ internet pages. He’d also created cover arts and the whole layout / design of the booklets for both „Plurima Mortis Imago” and „Diabolicanos – Act III: Armageddon” albums.
From now on all of Devilish Impressions’ internet profiles such us webpage, myspace, youtube, facebook and so on will be run on behalf of the band by Darnok.

In other news, the band’s new opus – a follow-up to the critically acclaimed „Diabolicanos” album  is nearly done! More hot news to follow very soon!!!

CHANGES IN THE RECORDING SESSION'S SCHEDULE.

25.11.2010

This is to let you know Devilish Impressions had changed their plans towards the further part of their new album's recording session. Instead of working on a whole material at Studio X the band decided to lay down just the vocal tracks out there. The rest of the job, namely - guitars' reamping, mixing and mastering will be done by Slawek and Wojtek Wieslawscy at Hertz Studio.

"This is not to say Szymon Czech of Studio X is not good enough to produce the album properly" - explains Devilish Impressions mainman, Quazarre. "We'd worked with him on a 'Diabolicanos' album and the final effect just surpassed our expectations towards the sound we wanted to achieve. It is just that, when recording the drums at Hertz Studio, Wieslawscy brothers got really into the new stuff and they came up with this offer, that they'd really love to produce the entire album. We'd then been thinking it all over and decided to give it a go eventually, just to try out different option than the one we'd already tried in the past. That's it! I once again, on behalf of others at Devilish Impressions, would without any hesitate recommend Szymon as a guy to work with on any kind of a musical projects" - continues Quazarre.

Parts of the synthesizers are currently being composed / recorded at home studios of Peter 'Lestath' Leszczynski (ex-Sammath Naur) and Wojtek 'Flumen' Kostrzewa (Asgaard). On the other hand, Quazarre within a few days will be heading to Studio X in order to lay down all the vocals' tracks.

The third part of a Studio Diary, showing the drums and bass recording sessions will be published soon. It's also time to reveal there will be very special guests appearance on the album. Check back for more news soon!

FURTHER DETAILS ON THE NEW ALBUM!
DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS ENTERS HERTZ STUDIO!

24.08.2010

Quazarre checks in from Strobo Studio (Opole, PL) where Devilish Impressions had recently been working on the guitars' tracks for the upcoming album. As informed earlier, the guitars will be later re-amped by Szymon Czech at Studio X (Olsztyn, PL):

"Hey Devils! First step of the new album's recording session is over. We've finally laid down all the guitars and just can't wait to see how it goes along with other instruments. For some reasons it took us a bit longer than expected yet believe me, every single minute spent on that was truly worth it. For the first time ever in the band's career we've used real accoustic guitars and it just surpassed our expectations towards the sound we achieved. I was honoured to work on all that with Roman Bereznicki, the old friend of mine who actually was the first bassist I used to play with back in 1994-1997. While working together now we came up with the idea of recording one of the songs we composed back then, so don't be surprised if it ends up on the new album as a bonus track..."

Devilish Impressions will soon enter HERTZ Studio (Bialystok, PL; BEHEMOTH, DECAPITATED, VADER etc.) in order to record the drums. Soon after that Vraath - new band's member - will lay down parts of bass guitar at Strobo Studio.

The new album is a follow up to the critically acclaimed "Diabolicanos - Act III: Armageddon" album. 2nd part of Studio Diary video report is in the making and will be online within a few days so keep your eyes wide open!

FIRST DETAILS ON THE NEW ALBUM’S RECORDING SESSION!

22.07.2010

Devilish Impressions is currently in studio tracking guitars for the successor of the critically acclaimed „Diabolicanos – Act III: Armageddon” album.

This time the band had chosen slighlty differrent way of recording. All the guitars’ tracks are being laid down with the assistance of Roman Bereznicki (ZBERNY3000, Dr. LECTER) at Strobo Studio (Opole, PL) and will be then re-amped at Studio X (Olsztyn, PL) – the same place where the band had worked on a previous album.

Parts of synthesizers will be recorded by Flumen (ASGAARD) at his home studio in Warsaw and by Peter „Lestath” Leszczynski (ex- SAMMATH NAUR) in Bydgoszcz.

Someone may ask, why had we decided to work on parts of synths with two different artists at the same time… You know why?... Cause we want this album to be something really unique on all possible levels! This will allow us two look at the new songs from various perspectives in order to avoid using the same sort of solutions or arangements” - explains Devilish Impressions’ mainman – Quazarre.

More details on the recording process will be revealed later. Check back soon for the next part of Studio Diary video report!!!

WARNING! - DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS' new line-up revealed!!

11.01.2010

It's been quite a while since we've posted some news down here... Wonder why?... Simply because there wasn't really much to write about. Over the last year the band had been going through some shitty things such as tours' cancellations as well as subsequent line-up changes. It's time to announce now not only Cultus but also Turquoissa is no longer a part of Devilish Impressions. It has to be said, her commitment to the band's crusade was never a question yet for certain reasons it just wouldn't have worked that way any longer. Handling the bass duties was given to VRAATH while the synthesizers will be taken over by Quazarre in co-operation with other artists... Present line-up as follow: Quazarre - vocals/guitar/synth, Armers - guitar, Vraath - bass, Icanraz - drums.

Some time ago Quazarre had already started working on a pre-production of the new Devilish Impressions' album. Here's the band's mainman comment on that:

"I'm currently laying down the guitars' tracks so my devils can work on their own parts later on. So far I've got six brand new songs recorded and it seems this time we're going even further than we did on the previous albums. It's gonna be massive, epic and catchy as hell! Yeah, and I'm not afraid of saying that cause it simply gonna be catchy; obviously not in a way that would put you off:-)"

As soon as the new stuff is ready the band will be searching for a new label-home.

Not far ago Quazarre along with I.A.Serpentor had formed a new project called VITROFYRR - an effort to combine black metal, ambient, industrial and some fucked up hellektro! They are currently working on a first full-length release to be available later this year. Make sure to visit http://www.myspace.com/vitrofyrr and wait for the premiere track to be revealed soon."

Quazarre is also a part of another Polish industrial/black/death metal act called CRIONICS. For the latest news regarding the band's activities as well as for the upcoming mini album teaser "N.O.I.R" check out the band's page at http://www.myspace.com/crionics

D.I. AT SUMMER FESTS! LINE-UP CHANGE! D.I. VS. BEHEMOTH!

25.07.2008

Devilish Impressions has been relentlessly touring Europe since December last year in order to promote their latest, critically acclaimed opus "Diabolicanos - Act III: Armageddon". Now, after a few weeks of a break-time the band announces a couple of festivals that is going to be a part of. At Pro Rock Festival Devilish Impressions will held co-headlining slot with RAGE and RASTA while at Metal Heads Mission the band will perform on the last day of the fest, shortly before its headliner - GORGOROTH. Other bands to play at MHM are MOONSPELL, CYNIC and SAMAEL amongst others. Check out the CONCERTS section for more details! Please note all the scheduled shows Devilish Impressions will play with new session bassist - Aro of other Polish black / death metal commando SHADOWS LAND.

"It's about a time to inform Devilish Impressions parted the ways with Cultus - the band's bassist whom we worked with since MARDUK's tour in April last year. He has decided to quit d ue to his personal reasons, as he would not be able to represent our music live on stage anymore the way we had always wanted to present it. Yeah, I know some of you may now go like, 'what the hell's going on with their line up so often', yet I guess not everybody realises how difficult sometimes it may be to keep on going knowing there are many issues out there that simply pulls you down every time you're back from a tour. Anyway, although only full commitment to the band's idea make people stay in our ranks and such attitude is the only acceptable one, Cultus' leaving is comprehensible for all of us and I on behalf of others involved in the band wish him all the best in his private life". (Quazarre)

UK & IRELAND CONQUERED!

04.04.2008

With last Sunday's show at London 's famous 'The Underworld' Devilish Impressions finished their tour across United Kingdom , Scotland , Ireland and Northern Ireland.

"It's been an honour to share the stages with both - Dismember and Methedras even though we all feel it definitely wasn't long enough. Anyway, what really matters is that we've had really good time together and - since the music all three bands play is so different from each other - that the whole adventure went on so well. We shall definitely be back with more dates in UK , probably after the summer holiday. Special thanks to Malta and Buzi for taking care of our sound and merch as well as for all the parties we've somehow managed to go through J Massive respect to the guys of mighty Dismember for proving each day and night to be death metal's Iron Maiden. Hailz to Thomas of Conquer Records and Vadim of The Flaming Arts without whom this tour wouldn't have happened."

"HAR-MAGEDDON" VIDEO FINALLY AVAILABLE!

24.02.2008

New long-awaited video to "Har-Magedon" has finally been released. Check it out here or at the band's myspace profile www.myspace.com/devilishimpressions.

Devilish Impressions has just returned from the very successful European tour with BEHEMOTH and SUICIDE SILENCE. "It's undoubtedly been the most prestigious tour we've done so far and we all are really glad we've been given the opportunity to share the stages with such great act as Behemoth. We've always somehow admired them not only for being a great band and perfect live-machine but also for being good friends with suitable distance towards their unquestionable achievements. Devilish hailz also to the guys of Suicide Silence whom we also have had a great time with!!! On the last days of the tour we felt it could have been much longer.

Unfortunately when we played in Granada ( Spain ) some asshole has stolen one of our laptops with all the band's data and lots of personal stuff. Needless to say how valuable it was to us so if there's anyone who possess any information on it please get in touch with us immediately. I'd also like to say it won't stop us in spreading our crusade! You may have stolen our computer but you didn't steal our instruments you fucking cunt!!!

As for the shows we've played I can only say we'd love to be back right now! Response of the audiences each night was really amazing with some unforgettable moments in London , Portugal , Granada or an absolute tour's highlight in Paris ! We love you all motherfuckers and can't wait to unite the forces with you yet another time!!!"

Devilish Impressions would like to thank Daray of VADER / VESANIA as well as Sławek and the rest of Dr. LECTER without whom many things regarding this tour could have been much more difficult.

The gig Devilish Impressions was supposed to play with SAMAEL in Minsk on the 27 th of February got cancelled. "Not long ago I've wondered whether this time we'll be allowed to play over there but it turned out it got cancelled once again as it was on our tour with MARDUK. It obviously sucks but none of us in D.I. has had anything to do with that. From this point we can only hold our fingers crossed and hope next time we'll finally be able to make it." (Quazarre)

Devilish Impressions is now about to leave for an exclusive gig at "Wacken Road Show" in Kiev ( Ukraine ) where the band's going to perform alongside OVERKILL, SAMAEL, TRISTANIA, ENSLAVED and NOKTURNAL MORTUM. More hot news to come very soon.

Devilish Impressions' just come back from their first headlining tour in Ukraine. Here you have Quazarre's comment on that: "The tour was absolutely brilliant with all the craziness going on all the time and - most of all - with all maniacs supporting us each night. There were also some extra, unforgettable moments while being there such as bit longer stays in Kiev, Odessa or Sevastopol (I guess Crimean mountains still echoes with all our alco-songs - heh heh)... Hailz to guys at Mental Demise (can't you play any fucking faster, huh?) and all our supporting bands. We'd also like to thank Dmitry, Max and Wova at Global Promotion for making this tour happened. Unfortunately, due to tight tour schedule we've had to cancel our gig in Ivano-Frankovsk but believe me we just couldn't have made it. I promise we'll be back with more shows in the future! By the way, after that tour we are all addicted to U.D.O.'s latest album - 'Mastercutor'! This is fucking heavy metal at its best! Strongly recommended!!! DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS ON TOUR AGAIN!

20.10.2007

:Hello folks!!! Due to some reasons we have not been updating the site for a while but, hey. sometimes things work differently than expected. Anyways, here you are.

First of all, as some of you may have already noticed, our both website and myspace profile are going through major changes. I can promise that as soon as it's done we will post a couple of the new tracks from the upcoming record - "DIABOLICANOS - Act III - Armageddon" so you could enjoy a part of it before the whole album comes out. By the way, this time it will be officially distributed in Europe by Plastic Head so hopefully it will hit the stores on time. Launching date of "DIABOLICANOS." has not been confirmed yet but it seems it'll be postponed a little bit. We shall tell you more on that very soon.

On the 1 st of November we'll start shooting new video for "Har-Magedon" which will be promoting the album. Much bigger budget than one we had for "SataniChaoSymphony" will hopefully allow us to express our ideas in a totally different way. Video's director will be Marcin Kiełbaszewski whom the band had a pleasure to work with while recording the new album. Don't actually know yet where the scenario's atmosphere is going to take us all but expect some sick, apocalyptic shit.

OK, finally some news for those addicted to headbanging - after successful performance at this year's Metal Heads Mission Fest in Crimea we were offered to tour Ukraine in December 2007. Dates and clubs will be announced soon. Alright, take care now and have our devilish regards!!! (Quazarre)

NEW ALBUM DETAILS REVEALED!

18.08.2007

Devilish Impressions have recently played at Metal Heads Mission (Red Alert Fest) Open Air Festiwal in Crimea / Ukraine with such acts as IMMOLATION, SUFFOCATION, VADER and BENEDICTION amongst others. Here you have Quazarre’s comment on that:

„We’ve played a few tracks from the „Plurima Mortis Imago” album as well as two of the upcoming one just to check whether the new energy is strong enough to jump over our previous works. And you know what? It definitely fucking is! We were extremely happy to see and hear the 1500-strong crowd screaming for encore! In this moment then we’d like to express our gratitude not only to Sergey – the fest’s organizer - but most of all to all of you guys who supported us during our show. It’s an amazing feeling to see how enthusiastic people can be when listening to our music.”

In a meanwhile the band’s new opus called “DIABOLICANOS – Act III: Armageddon” has just been mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio in Germany (Rotting Christ, Belphegor, Sinister, Krisiun, Legion Of The Damned etc.).

Here you have a full list of the new tracks:

V - Tales of Babylon's Whore

"DIABOLICANOS" STUDIO REPORT PART IV

14.07.2007

Devilish Impressions have just finished almost 2-months-long recording session of the ‘Plurima Mortis Imago' successor. The new opus will be entitled: ‘DIABOLICANOS – Act III: Armageddon' and shall be out in autumn this year!!!

“Musically it's very different from what we previously did. I mean, stylistically it remains mixture of black and death metal, there are still massive slow-downs and unique, remarkable melodies but this time we were more concentrated on creating powerful, rhythmic riffs' construction and their exuberant, destructive aggression. We've spent almost two months on recording in order to reach the most convincing, brutal yet spatial sound. It's really massive and selective yet again filthy and dreadful. I've also used different sorts of vocal expression, more suitable to what our music has eventually become… ” (Quazarre)

It's time to announce that there are special guests' appearances on the album, namely Szymon Czech of NYIA and Cezar of Polish legendary black metal act CHRIST AGONY!!! While Szymon came up with a great guitar solo in one of the new tracks Cezar sang in two other compositions. Those who have already listened to the new stuff say it has automatically made them dependant upon it…

"I guess you all know who 'Dominicans' are? 'Dogs of god' - that's the simplest translation from Latin language. 'Diabolicanos' as a word doesn't exist in any language; it's sort of a symbol, such as inverted cross, pentagram etc. I've made it up as a reflection of my internal feelings regarding all that religious shit that surround us nowadays. The lyrical concept of the album has been built on a base of the Holy Bible's "Book of Revelation". It's obviously slightly different vision of Armageddon and its aftermath... While writing the lyrics I've tried to adjust all the English verses to the atmosphere of Latin quotations that appear on the album. 'Diabolicanos' are those who reflect dissentient voice, an opposition against prudishness and false morality, those who stand out against domination over human's will." (Quazarre)

Currently the material is getting the final mix. In a few days it will be send out to Germany where it's going to be mastered by Andy Classen at famous Stage One Studio ( Rotting Christ, Belphegor, Sinister, Krisiun, Legion Of The Damned etc.)!!!

"DIABOLICANOS" STUDIO REPORT PART III

28.06.2007

The recording process hits the next stage with synthesizers and additional samplers already recorded. Turquoissa and Quazarre have recently visited home studio of Wojtek Kostrzewa (Asgaard's synth player) where they've been trying to choose possibly the best sounds for each part where keyboards appear.

Currently the band is back in Studio X where vocals are being recorded and mixing process is in progress. "Diabolicanos" will be then mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio in Germany. More news to come very soon.

"DIABOLICANOS" STUDIO REPORT PART II

07.06.2007

There are some minor changes in "Diabolicanos" studio session. As we've previously informed - vocals and mix were meant to be done with Arkadiusz Malczewski at Hendrix Studio (Behemoth) but due to several reasons the band decided to do it also at Studio X.

"All of the drums' and guitars' have already been laid down and even at this stage I can say it sounds awesome! Our new drummer Icanraz has done fantastic job by recording probably the best drums in his entire life up to date. He has proved it was definitely the right choice to get him on-board. It also has to be said that the whole recording process is going incredibly smoothly thanks to Szymon Czech (producer at Studio X) who's got our expectations faster then we could ever imagine. Working with such professionals' just make you feel way more comfortable and help to concentrate on your aim only. In comparison to our previous work the new stuff has been arranged much differently which allowed us exploring yet undiscovered forms of our creativity's expression. While recording guitars - we've tuned them little bit lower, and have used 5-strings bass guitar. Massive and extreme, full of catchy riffs, slow-downs, breaks and various melodies - that's how 'DIABOLICANOS' is going to sound like. I am sure even lots of those who admired 'Plurima Mortis Imago' will be shocked when listen to the new album. But one thing is sure - it's going to kick your fucking asses!" (Quazarre)

In one week synthesizers and additional effects will be recorded at home studio of Asgaard's key player - Wojtek Kostrzewa. 'DIABOLICANOS' will be mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio in Germany (Rotting Christ, Belphegor, Sinister, Legion Of The Damned etc.)!!!

"DIABOLICANOS" STUDIO REPORT PART I

22.05.2007

Ten days ago Devilish Impressions have entered the 'Studio X' in Olsztyn where the recording session of new album is in progress. That's what the drummer himself says about the whole process:

"After seven days in 'Studio X' I've finished recording drums for the upcoming Devilish Impressions' album. Literally I've had unlimited time to register my parts what gave me opportunity to achieve desired drums' sound and all the microphones' settings. In this production there is no single unintentional strike. Since the new stuff is very rhythmical I've decided to arrange my parts the way to exaggerate heavy guitar riffs with really powerful drumming. I've used the highest drums' class equipment - Yamaha OAK Custom drums, Yamaha's snare drum (Manu Katche's signature), Alchemy and Sabian cymbals, Remo Weatherking Emperor skins, and Yamaha pedal. I am extremely excited about what we've achieved and I just can't wait to hear the final effect of our hard work." (Icanraz - new Devilish Impressions' drummer)

DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS RECORDING THE NEW ALBUM!!!

14.05.2007

Devilish Impressions have entered the studio few days ago in order to record the new album. This time the band decided to visit Studio X (Vesania) where all the drums' and guitars' tracks will be laid. All the synthesizers and additional samplers / effects will be recorded at home studio of Asgaard's synth player - Flumen. Vocals will be recorded with Arkadiusz Malczewski at Hendrix Studio (Behemoth) where the album will also be mixed. The whole material will be then mastered by Andy Classen at famous Stage One Studio in Germany (Rotting Christ, Belphegor, Sinister, Legion Of The Damned etc.)!!!

"As I've mentioned already musically it will be pretty different from what we did on 'Plurima Mortis Imago'. Stylistically it will remain mixture of black and death metal but it seems this time we've pushed the boundaries of the genres even further. Although you will find some unconventional arrangements here and there the new stuff is full of straight-forward and ass-kicking riffs yet full of catchy riffs and unique melodies. It will take us around one month and a half to record it but having in mind all the details of the new songs we just can't wait to hear the final effect." (Quazarre)

The new opus will be entitled "Diabolicanos - Act III: Armageddon" and shall be out in autumn this year!!!

DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS RETURN FROM EASTERN EUROPE!

18.04.2007

Devilish Impressions has just returned from "Sword In The East Tour 2007"! Here is Quazarre's comment on that:

"First of all - massive, huge thanx to Vadim of The Flaming Arts who turned out to be not only an extremely professional organizer and a tour manager but also a great individual full of charm and unique sense of humour. Enough to say that I wish Devilish Impressions could play only on such well-organized tours in the future... The whole tour went on in a really great atmosphere and we just can't wait to play there again. The response of the audience in each of the places we've been to was just amazing! In this place then we would also love to express our gratitude to every single person supporting us during our shows and after them!!! I believe we shall have even more beers and vodka with you guys soon. It is You who keep the metal flame burning!!! Our thanks and regards also go to Cloud of Sceptic and Thy Disease for helping us with drums on that tour. Last but not least - diabolical hails to the guys of Marduk! It's been a pleasure sharing those unforgettable fragments of life with the band who was one of my earliest black metal inspirations. Thanks to them 'Echoes from the Past' still rings the mourning bell deep inside of me."

We are proud to inform that from now on Devilish Impressions is officially represented in Eastern Europe by THE FLAMING ARTS Management/Booking Agency. All inquires regarding band's contract/license, tours, gigs or festivals in those territories should be sent directly to Vadim Khomich on info@theflamingarts.org or +375297213526 .

DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS TO RECORD NEW ALBUM SOON!

23.03.2007

Moscow's date and venue on our upcoming tour with Marduk has been changed. Go to CONCERTS section to see final route.

Short after the tour Devilish Impressions will enter studio in order to record 'Plurima Mortis Imago' successor: "We've got most of the new stuff composed already and currently we work on its final arrangements. All I can say at this stage is that it's gonna be way more technical, rhythmical and ass-kicking, yet full of catchy riffs, melodies and unpredictable atmosphere changes. Lyrically it will continue themes started on 'Eritis sicut Deus.' and developed on 'Plurima Mortis Imago'. Also in terms of production I guess none of you will be disappointed as this time we've made sure we're going to work with the true professionals only. What else? Well. expect the unexpected! At the end of the day we are Devilish Impressions and I am pretty sure the new effort will prove we are worth this name." (Quazarre) More details will follow soon.

We've previously informed that on that tour we will be supported by S.Winter on drums (Aeternus; ex-Gehenna, ex-Forlorn) but due to unpredictable circumstances, namely visas problem, we've had to change the line-up again. It is official now that the drums will be taken over by Cloud of Polish technical death metal bands - Sceptic and Thy Disease!!!

Devilish Impressions finally got their page on myspace.com! Check it out on: myspace.com/devilishimpressions

"Plurima Mortis Imago" has been rated as one of the best albums for 2006 by Lou of Metal Asylum ( http://wewillrise05.proboards27.com/index.cgi ). "SataniChaoSymphony" is also being played there as a video of the week.

Top 10 Albums Of The Year:
06 - Devilish Impressions "Plurima Mortis Imago"
I found out about Devilish Impressions through a small advert on the back of a metal magazine (I can't remember which one it was now). The advert interested me and I decided to check out the website. It was there that I first heard Dracula's Mechanized Universe ... it was also then that I decided to get myself a copy of the album. Plurima Mortis Imago is an awesome album and Devilish Impressions' brand of Black Metal mixes in some fantastic classical influences to keep the listener hooked from start to finish.

Top 10 Songs Of The Year:

- "SataniChaoSymphony" - I could have chosen another track from the album, but I went for this one. Why? Because it's my favourite one for today

Top 10 Artists Of 2006:
04 - Devilish Impressions
- For being very friendly when I've emailed them and for playing a great set at the Electrowerkz

The band was interviewed by a few paper magazines such as 'Butcherian Vibe' from Serbia ( http://www.butchersound.com/html/index.html ) or Ukrainian 'Sacratum Magazine' (plus two tracks on its compilation).

"An all-day black metal festival at London's The Underworld on which we've recently played turned out to be a great success. I believe the 400-strong crowd didn't leave the club disappointed J At the same time we would like to apologize that we couldn't play the whole set. There were some serious delays and - since we've had to stick to the schedule - we really weren't able to change it. Anyways, thanks for such a strong support and craziness. We promise we will be back with more shows across UK and Ireland during autumn 2007. For now - our devilish regards to all of you and to Shadowflame Productions for inviting us and letting us play that memorable night." (Quazarre)

DIFFERENT DRUMMER ON TOUR!

07.02.2007

Due to Icanraz' obligations to Abused Majesty whom he will be recording a new stuff with we were now forced to find someone else instead who could take over the drums on our upcoming Eastern Europe tour with Marduk. It is time to announce that his duties on that tour will be handled by S.Winter (Aeternus, Eld; ex-Gehenna, ex-Forlorn)!!!

As some of you may have already noticed – we've managed to put online pics from the European Tour eventually. We were previously planning to write down a little story about it but there is a small comment on every photo instead which might give you even better idea of how this fantastic adventure looked like (go to the GALLERY section).

“SataniChaoSymphony” video is now available on youtube.com. Check it out on http://youtube.com/watch?v=z0rS34c8MkQ or directly on our site at DOWNLOAD section.

First part of a long interview with Devilish Impressions published in one of the most respectful Polish underground magazine – 7 Gates of Hell (to be continued in the next issue)! The band also appeared in another Polish zine - #1 Psycholetter.

Last time we've completely forgotten to tell you that some of our songs went on yet other compilations added to Terrorizer Magazine (UK), Metallian (FR) and Ancient Ceremonies (P)!

Another bunch of “Plurima Mortis Imago” reviews posted to MEDIA section:

“The band creates a movie feeling, as if Bram Stoker's Dracula was mixed with extreme metal and a couple of pinches of classical music. The most striking to me is that this record contains a lot of different worlds, like a collision of PESTILENCE and YNGWIE J. MALMSTEEN.”

I have heard a lot of black metal but this sounds fucking brutal and sick. This band is very original and gives death black metal a totally different feeling.”

“(…) the album shouldn't be ignored and will doubtless delight fans of the group and the genre.”

“If there is one reason why this band is really good, it is that they are capable of creating vertiginous and powerful themes and a majestic technique which for sure will put their name at the top of the European elite list.”
