Avant-garde and Extravagant Modern Black-Death Metal is a too poor definition for this enlightened Metal Art, child of illuminated Devilish Impressions.
Furious Anger and Wrath, Epic Melodies, Mature Illuminated Unholy Poetry, Progressive Emotional Crescendos and Extravagant Musical Art, are only few ways to describe "DIABOLICANOS - ACT III: Armageddon" album. Once you start listening to it you face straight away a crack on usual Black-Death Metal monotony, for Devilish Impressions don't fear to stretch the limits of their music and bring with it some unusual and creative melodic mix. Impressive to say the least!
It's hard to define Devilish Impressions music; there are too many influences, details and extravagances to define them with few words. You can have variation from classical Polish Death Metal into Melodic Black Metal with great Clean Vocals and Choirs, if that isn't enough you have still some progressive touches here and then to crack completely any monotony. Indeed an amazing work and a big step forwards in Devilish Impressions career, putting them in the same level of other Top Bands in this Extreme Metal genre.
The Production is quite impressive, but less wasn't to be expected from Andy Classen at Stage One Studio in Germany (Rotting Christ, Belphegor, Sinister, Krisiun, Legion Of The Damned etc.)!
There are several highlights in this album, just to name few I would pick the following songs: "T.H.O.R.N.S.", "I am the Son of God", "Tales of Babylon's Whore" with great progressive elements into, "Diabolicanos" the title track and "Har-Mageddon" (From which a smashing videoclip has been made available),
An album not to be missed by those who are not pleased with today's days Extreme Metal monotony, for all those who have an open mind and embrace true Musical Art without any trends or labels! For fans of Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Vital Remains, Vesania, Immortal, Emperor, Decapitated and several more quality bands!
If you still don't know Devilish Impressions, this would be a piece not to be missed and a great starting point to taste their Musical Art at best!
