DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS
"Diabolicanos: Act III Armageddon "
When Poland is the country of origin you can be sure you will probably have a great album in your hands! “Diabolicanos” is no less than that, a really good black / death metal album and a band that managed to grab a few killer Polish influences and blend altogether to deliver a raging fury upon the mortal man! Vader and Behemoth are two names that are undeniable influences on Devilish Impressions, on top of that we got Turquoissa’a ability to inject orchestral moments with her synths (still lesser prominent that on their debut). Their previous and debut album already showed the band with great potential and if you remember well they got featured on the sampler CD of the previous issue but this new album surpasses all expectations. The band delivers not only an improvement on the compositions (good breaks, strong melodies, enough tempo changes) but also managed to get the help of Andy Classen at the mastering process (Rotting Christ, Krisiun, Belphegor) and the ending result is simply destructive! The success of this new opus and of the band was already noticed by gig organizers and the band already started playing live together with killer acts like Suffocation, Vader, Benediction, Marduk not to mention already two booked tours with Behemoth and Dismember and their appearance in 2008 on Wacken Festival. An album that grabs the listener by the balls with its constant technical yet fast paced brutal passages and only let goes when it reaches the end of the final track “Mass for The Dead”.
